Childrens' photography in Surrey...

added by Claire on May 4, 2012 at 00:41

A couple of weeks ago I met up with some previous clients of mine who I have been photographing for years, since Charlotte was 6 months old.
It's been so lovely to see this beautiful little family grow, I'm so lucky to have such loyal clients, it's means so much to me as a photographer.

I met the two beautiful girls and their mummy in the bluebell woods. The weather played nice with only one quick shower during our session - the girls had fun keeping us dry with their umbrellas Laughing

The girls always give me beautiful smiles, this time we had fun singing songs and dancing which meant we captured beautiful natural photographs of them both together.

Here are a few of my favourite shots from our portrait session.

Wedding Wednesday...

added by Claire on May 4, 2012 at 00:37

24 hours late on the blog but here is yesterday's Wedding Wednesday.

A quick sneaky peak from Friday's wedding at Cooling Castle Barn. The couple's theme was springtime and yellow so I couldn't resist doing a few shots in the field opposite the venue which was full of beautiful yellow rapeseed.

Wedding Wednesday...

added by Claire on April 25, 2012 at 01:03

Here is this week's Wedding Wednesday.

I have two favourite parts of a wedding day, two parts of the day that always make me well up.
1. When the bride's father, or mother, see the bride for the first time.
2. When the groom see's his bride for the first time.

This photograph shows the former, bride's father seeing his daughter for the first time looking more beautiful than ever and about to marry the person she loves more than anything.
You can see the flower girl looking at them in the background...one day it could be her turn.

I think this photograph show's pure emotion, you don't need to see faces to show that or even to feel emotion in a photograph.

Claire x

Wedding Wednesday

added by Claire on March 28, 2012 at 09:57

Today, Wednesday, I am starting 'Wedding Wednesday'.
This is where I will share my favourite wedding image from the past year.

To start, here is a shot from a wedding at Tower Bridge - such a fantastic venue in London, with great views!!

The bride and groom have just celebrated their first wedding aniversary so this seems appropriate.

Childrens' photography in London...

added by Claire on March 7, 2012 at 23:12

I recently visited Elise and her two gorgeous children for a portrait session.

I first photographed little M when he was 8mths old, he is now 2 years and 3 mths and his little sister is now also 8mths old.
I love re-visiting my clients and love seeing how children have grown. I just remember how they looked in the original photographs so to see them more grown up is always a pleasure.

M looks exactly like he did when he was 8mths old, except with gorgeous longer blonde curly hair.

I had such a lovely time with them both, M was full of fun and T was full of beautiful smiles.

Here are a few favourites....

Baby Thomas....

added by Claire on February 15, 2012 at 22:21

Here's Thomas...he's 16 days old in these pictures.

I love photographing newborn babies, it's always best to photograph babies as soon as possible - I like to do it within the first 10 days.
This way, they still have their natural curl...I love it.
However as Thomas was born over the Christmas holiday's he had to open his presents and spend time with his family. But, he was still so tiny it was possible to capture the cute baby pictures that I like to do.

I always get asked how long a newborn shoot will take, my answer is however long is needed. My average is around 2 hours but it really does depend on the baby. I've been with a baby for 4 hours before, feeds, changing, quick naps.

To book your baby shoot with me please do so before your baby arrives...just so you are booked in. Please do not leave it until baby arrives as I may not be able to fit you in, at least if you are booked in we can re-schedule. I've had a mummy call me from the hospital bed the morning after delivering her baby to book in her shoot - I have to say, that's determination and I had the biggest smile on my face all day because it was something that was so important to her to have done. Newborn's are not newborn for long and you forget how teeny tiny they are, how tiny their features are.

Call me now for more information on my baby packages or to book your newborn shoot.

How cute is this little man...

I also offer a variety of birth announcement/thank you cards...a perfect keepsake!
