This is a one-off opportunity for you to capture priceless memories – ones which are never available again. We try to photograph newborns from 4-21 days old, but can can still create beautiful images right up to 12 weeks or so. Though the older babies don’t usually allow for such sleepy, dreamy pictures as newborns, you’ll still adore the photos we capture.
We tailor the whole experience to you and your babies needs. Session numbers are limited, to ensure availability. To ensure we can fit you in, you simply book a session for two weeks after your due date. When your baby arrives, give us a call and we’ll adjust the date accordingly.
We allow 4 hours for a newborn session to allow plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling, but in reality, the session rarely lasts this long and 3 hours is much more usual. We’re lead by the baby – not the clock and we want you to enjoy the experience.

We have just had the our newborn photo shoot and can not believe the incredible experience that we have had. Our baby is 2 weeks old and has been really fussy at home constantly. We struggle to get him dressed or change his nappy without a full blown screaming match. For this reason we nearly cancelled our booking as it was brought as a present for us; we are so glad that we didn’t. From the minute Emma had him in her arms: she worked miracles. HOW MUCH IS THE SESSION AND WHAT ARE YOUR PACKAGES?
The session fee is £59. This is the fee to create the amazing images, the studio time, selecting and editing the images ready for you to view. It does not include any ‘products.’
Our packages and wall art prices can be found above – you’ll decide on which one suits you best when you’ve seen the selection at your viewing. Just ask if you have any questions!
We offer open and straight forward pricing and a strict ‘no hard sell!’ policy!
WHEN DO WE BOOK OUR NEWBORN SESSION?
Our advice is to book your newborn session after your 20 week scan. That way, we can reserve you a ‘floating date’ which will be 14 days after the due date. We’ll adjust that date once the baby arrives, and make a firm appointment. We do this as we prioritise newborn shoots above other sessions and enquiries due to the narrow window of opportunity.
When you’re booked, we’ll send you all the information you’ll need about how to get the best from your newborn session. Do, please, read it as the quality of the images we can produce relies on your co-operation!
WHAT IS BABY ARRIVES LATE OR EARLY?
They do that – babies rarely arrive when they are meant too! But don’t worry – as long as you’ve booked your floating date, we’ll always find a way of accommodating you. If you don’t have a floating date, we may not be able to fit you in – so it’s really important you book it right after your 20 week scan!
HOW DO I VIEW MY PHOTOS?
Before you leave us after your session, we will arrange to book you back in for a viewing around a week after your session. We’ll show you a selection of around 15-30 beautiful, edited images we’ve selected and edited for you to choose from together, with options on what you can do with them.
Alternatively, we may be able to arrange an online/Zoom viewing if you live some distance away.
HOW & WHEN DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH MY LITTLE ONE?
Ideally, you’ll come in for your session when the baby is between 4-21 days. We can photography babies up to 12 weeks old as newborns but after 4 weeks the photos tend to be more awake and smiley. If baby arrives very early, of course, plans will change!
Our newborn sessions are available from Tuesday-Friday at 10am as we have family sessions and weddings at weekends. Allow 3-4 hours for the session to allow for feeding, changing and settling the little one down. Teas and coffees are available, and you can relax and enjoy the session with no rush, no pressure.
We have lots of different colours of blankets and materials, and props to enhance the images – but do bring your own if you wish. Cuddly toys, clothes etc which are special to you will really personalise the session.
WHAT IF....?
…they want feeding? No problem, there’s time and privacy to feed them in peace.
….they have jaundice or flaky skin? Don’t worry, we’ll enhance the images using great lighting and retouching – they’ll look perfect!
…my baby won’t fall asleep? Not a problem – they usually do eventually! The studio is a warm and relaxing environment, we’ll put on soothing music and there’s plenty of time for mummy cuddles!
CAN WE HAVE SOME PHOTOGRAPHS WITH THE BABY?
We genuinely think you should – these photos are often more for the baby than you… years from now, they will be so valuable to your kids. Bring along some smart clothes (ask us for advice if you’re not sure what to wear) so that we can shoot some images of you as a family – usually at the end of the session. If you already have children, we can include them as well, but it’s very important that they are ‘delivered’ towards the end of the session. Few kids will be happy about killing 2-3 hours before they become involved and often create a distraction which can effect our ability to settle the baby.

If anyone needs any photography doing I cannot recommend Level Eleven Photography enough. They are so talented, kind and just lovely people. They are so good with rosy & made extra effort to bring in their dog Pebbles because they know Rosy loves him. Then for our newborn shoot they were amazing getting family photos and individual ones. We both felt so relaxed and said how all our shoulder tension went as we were so relaxed and dory was so loved and cared for x
Well what can we say, a massive thank you to Emma and Russ for producing such stunning photos of Amelia and our family. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we got there and for the whole of the photo shoot. I trusted Emma 100% with my little one and she put it in the most gorgeous outfits. If you ever want to have photos done to make your memories last a lifetime then Emma and Russ other people to go to. It was a 10 ⭐️ experience.
