Teen Portrait Experience
Perfect for teenagers and beyond!
Our model experience photo sessions are a wonderful experience for youngsters aged around 12-18. Equally suitable for boys and girls, it’s a 90 minute photo-session in our studio at Ramsgate Harbour with professional hair and make-up to make you feel and look great!
We’ll discuss colours, styles and clothes before shooting a set of photos with a definite modern fashion/editorial style – no cheesy smiles or poses! We use professional studio lighting, and our studio is equipped to produce high-end imagery you’ll love.
To get the best from these sessions, we know they need to be fun. We’ll build your confidence and teach you how to interact with the camera for amazing results. Don’t worry if you’ve never been part of a professional photoshoot before, or you usually feel nervous in front of the camera – you’ll forget those nerves in no time!
Bring along a selection of your favourite clothes in a variety of styles and looks – casual and glamorous, dresses, hats, coats uniforms, props and equipment from hobbies or interests. There’s plenty of time for costume – and set – changes. Let your imagination go – if you can dream it up, we’ll turn it into a stunning photograph! Call us for a chat and we’ll advise.
Afterwards, we’ll edit and retouch the images and invite you back in to view them on our big TV. Included is a mounted gift print and we have wall art, digital files and albums to choose from if you wish – but we promise, as always, there’s no hard-sell!

WHATS INCLUDED?
Your session fee includes make up and an A4 Studio Frame. You can download full pricing HERE if you decide you’d like anything more after the shoot.
WHO SHOULD YOU BRING?
Of course, you’ll need an adult with you if you’re under 18, and you’re welcome to bring mum and dad & siblings for some family photos if you wish to. However, we treat these sessions pretty much as a model shoot, so if you’re going to do that, we’ll get those photos out of the way first and then any unnecessary ‘extras’ can go for a drink whilst we photograph you. Having too many people may make you self-conscious, so ask mum or dad to stay and the others can enjoy a coffee in one of the many bars nearby whilst we concentrate on you!
We’re a husband and wife team, and we strive to make the session as relaxed and fun as possible, because that’s when the magic happens!
WHAT TO WEAR?
Bring a selection of clothes covering relaxed and more formal. Generally speaking, avoid busy patterns and large branding/logos. Discrete is fine, but dominant patterns or designs rarely work in photos. So, casual jeans and top, dress, jackets and various shoes. We’d like to get causal photos and some which are more dressy – bring too many clothes, rather than not enough!
Whilst your make-up is included we ask that you arraneg for your hair to be done before you arrive. If you would prefer to do your makeup yourself that if fine. Don’t go too heavy – think ‘night out with friends’ but as a minimum we’d advise some foundation to avoid shiny skin (we’re using flash in the studio) and lippy and eyeliner to gently accentuate your features. Just go with whatever feels right and gives you confidence!
If you have team kit, clothing for your hobby or any uniform – definitely bring them. We want to tell your story so anything which helps that is essential!

WHAT TO BRING?
Lots of accessories! Sunglasses, hats and coats are all really great props. Do you have hobbies? Whether it’s your tennis racket, riding clothes and dressage saddle, Playstation, Kart racing overalls, Sea Cadet uniform, guitar or drum set, bring it along. Oh, and your pooch definitely makes a wonderful prop – so give her/him a brush and bring her along!
In short, we want you to bring along as much as possible which allows us to create amazing photos that tells your story, who you are and what you love to do. Bring it all – we’ll decide on the day what works and what doesn’t – but so let us know what you have in mind so that we can plan ahead.
Oh, by all means bring your favourite playlist, it’ll help you relax!

I’m still inspired looking at Russ’ current work, to see how imaginative and abstract yet personal and emotional his photography is, and would always promote him, both personally & professionally.
Russ and Emma were amazing photographing Angelica. She is 20 months old and a complete monkey. They entertained, played and even got her to strike a pose….!
The setting is lovely and I felt relaxed immediately. They did their best to make Angelica feel comfortable and she enjoyed every minute. I cannot wait to see the pics…!
